Tuesday Morning Sketches Sponsored By Clearly Digi Stamps

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Just wanted to pop in with a card that I made for Tuesday Morning Sketches. This time around Clearly Digi Stamps is sponsoring the prizes and I just had to play with this great sketch.

Now for this sketch, I turned it so that the long piece of paper was on the bottom with the other two pieces on the top. I also angled these two pieces because I just could not get it to work right with placing them in an upright position. Also, using  it in this way, gives more room to add lace and embellishments.

For this card I used the outline of this digi set by Laurie Wilson.

Now I am not much of  a romantic/vintage style kind of card maker, but I love how Clare Buswell of  Case Study Challenge blog creates her cards. They are simply stunning. I so love her work and how she pulls everything together with her wonderful photography skills. So I thought that I would give her style a try myself. Not sure that I have mastered it yet, but I am happy with how this turned out.  P.S. I just want to say that Jennifer McQuire, the gal who started it all for me, is the new muse over there this week. Check it all out here.  So here is my card.

Card Supplies
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: All By Recollections/Cartulina
Distress Inks: Vintage Photo/Ranger
Digital Stamps: Little Strawberry/Laurie Wilson
Colouring Mediums: Watercoloring Pencils
Journaling Pen: Inkssentials
Embellishments: Pearls/Dollarama, Ribbon/American Crafts, Lace/from a friend
Adhesives: ATG Gun, Pop Dots, EZ Runner, Glossy Accents
Embossing Folder: Seeing Spots/Cuttlebug

This card is being submitted to the following challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches: Challenge #211
Word Art Wednesday: Challenge #92/Anything Goes
Cuttlebug Mania: Anything Goes

I trust that you are all doing well and enjoying the remainder of your summer. We have been holding off on some of the summer fun due to us not feeling so great.  Not sure what virus we picked up, but I have been having a terrible headache for the past 2 weeks, with dizziness, and nausea. And it really makes you tired. ( No, I am not having a baby!! Lol.)  So therefore I haven't shared much the past little while on this blog because of  this and hope that you understand. I understand from my hubby that several folks were out with the same thing at his work. My son was also away at camp and a few days later we both started feeling sick. My hubby started feeling the same way yesterday, but says it isn't so bad today. So I am not sure which one of us brought it home, but hopefully before the week is out, we will all be back to our old-selves again. That's the bonus of being in areas with loads of people, never know what you can pick up. Lol. At least he had a blast at camp and that is what is most important to this Mama!! Lol.

Hope that you all get the chance to play along with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge this week and can't wait to see what you make. Until next time.......

Hugs & Blessings
