Today I wanted to share this card that I made using only Hero Arts colorbox inks & stamps. Yes, I know this is rare for me. Seeming I love to layer things on a card, both in ink & paper. Lol. I don't do CAS style cards very well, but I was determined to give it another shot. I made this card with the challenge over at Lily Pad.
I am also submitting this to the CAS Challenge over at Paper & Such Design Blog. They are also having a sale on right now and I am more than sure that sweet Julie can help you out with all your scrappy needs.
This card was really simple to make. I used the butterfly from the set above and stamped it first on a piece of scrap paper. I then cut it out and used it as a mask when stamping the butterflies onto my card. With a white cardbase, I stamped the first butterfly in green. Taking the mask that was previously made, the first butterfly was covered and then the second butterfly was stamped in bright pink. With this mask in place, it prevents the pink from spreading on the the green butterfly and giving the effect that the pink butterfly is behind the green one. This step was repeated for the yellow butterfly as well. Voila! A fast CAS style card!
Thanks for dropping bye. I trust your all enjoying your spring and having many days filled with sunshine & happiness.
Hugs & Blessings
Dana
