My Blog Candy Give away is still up for grabs. Check it out here!
Just A Note! - This was supposed to be posted for yesterday but I guess with all the busyness I didn't set the post like it should have been. Sorry!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
This is an image from Deedee's Digis. This guy is so cute and I just had to use him. Lol. This image was coloured with Staedtler Markers and shaded with Staedtler Watercolour Pencils. This image was printed on watercolour paper which prevents the image from peeling when coloured.
Close Up of layering of just the turkey's body, using pop dots. Not sure what colour a turkey should be but knowing that it might be brown, I wanted to use a different colour. So I went with grey.
Close Up of colouring with shading and highlights.

This was a fun card to make and it was great to do some things that were different, like the stippling of blue for the shadow around the turkey. And also, making grass around the bird's feet. The card panel was adhered to the front of teal blue card base, then red baker's twine was tyed around the card front to give some extra texture. Thanks to my sweet friend Barb! A Staedtler white watercolour crayon was used to add highlights to various areas on the image.
Thanks for visiting and I trust for those celebrating Thanksgivng today, that it is a day filled with many wonderful memories and moments to reflect on all the many blessings that you have been given. I know that I am so thankful for my husband and son. For having a home and food on my table. For good friends, both old and new, for it is in all relationships that we learn and grow. I am especially so thankful for a loving God who excepts me, who never gives up on me even on those days when I may not be at my best. I am also thankful for my family - parents, sister's & brothers, & in-laws.
I am so thankful to all of you who drop bye each day and support me here. I am sorry that things are not on a more scheduled basis but with so many things happening, my post are more random but there are scheduled Clear Dollar Stamp post each month. Thanks for sticking with me and not giving up on me. I know some have and that is okay, there is a time and place for all things and some things must end. I pray that for those who go elsewhere that you will be inspired and challenged beyond measure. I wish you much success. May you always find passion in your heart to create and to share it with those around you. This is a gift meant to be shared and it is something to be thankful for today & always.
Until next time.....
Hugs & Blessings
