Welcome to
another Clearly Digi Stamps Release Day by Clear Dollar Stamps. This time around I picked two sets by Laurie Wilson. The first one I used was Birthday Bash.
Now
the possibilities are endless with this digital set. I know I say that about several of the sets at Clear Dollar Stamps store. But they do have many wonderful sets to purchase. So this is the card that I created. It is my take on CAS style cards. Believe it or not, I didn't use any distress ink on this card. Lol. I know! It's hard to believe!!
This set is so versatile and can be used for Baby Shower cards also.

The next Digital Stamp set that I used was the PatchPal Angel. This set has a country feel to it and is very whimsical. Super cute for the little ones you send cards to for Christmas. Now I was trying to go for a country feel but I don't think that I accomplished it the way that I planned but it still turned out fine.
Card Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill, Canston Watercolour Paper
Inks: Ranger Distress Inks
Digital Stamps: PatchPal Angel
Coloring Meds: Staedtler Watercolor Pencils Watercolour Crayons
Journaling Pen:Tombo White Gel Pen, Staedtler Black

I think that I should have shaded around the card in tones of brown instead of blue, in order to give it a more country feel. Now I know for next time! Sigh!! I do have to admit that I had some trouble when I coloured the dresses of each angel. I will have a tutorial on Dec.17th on how to repair a digital image that may be damaged or was the wrong colour. It is a simply fix which I didn't think of until now. Lol.
Be sure to check out the rest of the new releases and what the design team did with them. They did an outstanding job. Thanks for dropping bye.
This is a very busy and sometimes crazy time of the year. Often there can be times when the true meaning of Christmas can be lost in the hustle & bustle of it all. Someone turned to me and complained at how slow the postal worker was at the post office today. And even though this person was correct, I looked around to see only 2 people working. So I hesitantly looked at him, put a smile on my face and reminded him that though that was the case, that they were doing their best with just two people and it is a busy season. The look on that person's face was priceless. He turned to say sorry for complaining and that the postal guy was doing a great job. I agreed. Later outside we spoke again, and I said that I didn't mean to offend him, but sometimes we can forget what it is all about. He was nice enough to say that I didn't offend him but said thanks instead. Lol. No, I am not saying this to toot my own horn, but it is a choice to make a difference in the lives of others. Wither that be saying something nice, holding the door for someone, or even just giving someone a smile. Lets remember that regardless of the line-ups and frustrating people, the season really is one of Love, Hope, & Giving. Let's all do our part to make it special for those we know and those we don't.
Until next time......
Take Care & God Bless

awesome cards Dana. Love the story. People do get stressed at this time. Glad you were able to smile and turn the person's attitude around.
What a wonderful and uplifting post Dana! Sometimes a kind word or small act of kindness goes a lot further than we ever imagined. {{{Hugs}}}
And I LOVE your cards! The bright and cheerful birthday card is adorable and I love the embossed background. Those little crosshatches and lines on the images are what I was talking about. Those little touches make such a difference.
And I really like the blue around your little angels flying in the sky. They are so sweet.
Thank-you for sharing your lovely cards! I learn something every time I check out your work. Bless you! :)
Wait, what, no distress inks? I don't think I could do that. *clutching chest in horror* :) I love that sweet bright baby card! And the story about being in the post line? Beautiful. I think many people get so busy that they do lose sight of what's important. I know I have done so before, but thankfully it's always temporary.
