Welcome To The Neighborhood

Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to share this card with you that I made using Tweet Houses Digital Stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps. This set is by Lisa Lara and is so adorable. I so love her digital images, so whimsical and cute.

This card was printed on several printed papers and then hand cut. Papers used were from Crate Paper and the cardstock used was from Bazill. Each bird was shaded with darker colours to give more dimension around their faces. Areas behind their heads were also shaded to give the effect that each bird is in front of the background of each individual hole in the birdhouse.
This card is being submitted to the following challenges:
Clearly iStamp Challenge: Fall Into Fall
Sugar Creek Hollow #31: Things With Wings
Crafty Ribbons Challenge: Anything But Square
Southern Girls Challenge: Spots or Stripes
Hanna & Friends: Dots or Stripes
Many of you have noticed that my blog isn't so active has it use to be and wondering if I was doing okay! Well to be honest, life is really crazy has most of you well know because your own lives are busy. And it is during these busy times that everything seems to fall in our laps at once. I haven't shared much here regarding my personal life because I want this blog to be about the joy of cardmaking and to be a happy place to visit. Today, I do feel the need to share that I have been going through some difficult times. I am dealing with some health issues. I have been waiting for test results for a while now and finally got some back this past week. Some good and some not so good!  Now I have to see a specialist and find out if things are more serious than what they are now. So I am staying positive and trusting in the Lord to get me through whatever comes my way, good or bad. Most importantly, that during this time he can help me to remove anything in my life that needs removing, and to be more like Him. Most of all to trust Him!! So this is where I am on my journey  and some days my creativity is with me, some days it is not. I have been working on 12 cards for my design team work and I still haven't gotten them all completed or editied. I will get to it! A promise I will keep! So if you are of the praying kind, prayers would be greatly appreciated during this time of waiting.
I trust that you are all doing well and enjoying the beginning of this beautiful season. My favorite really, the colours are so amazing. Until next time take care of yourselves & each other.

This card is absolutely the sweetest! I love Lisa's designs too...she's so talented. I love the colors you've used :)

I'm sorry to hear about the health issues that have been plaguing you. Breaks my heart to hear it...I hope the specialist can shed some light on your health, and that they can find some solutions to stop what's started or keep them from progressing any further. let me know if there's anything you need. You're always welcome to call if you'd like to vent too. Blessings and strength will find you and yours. I hope your men are well. xx

I love the shaped card! This is a really cute & clever idea :)
It's hard to know how personal to get - and it's hard to blog & not share, somehow. I too hope that the specialist has good news for you, and that things are indeed better than you thought they might be. Good luck, Dana!

Your card is so cute Dana and I love the shading you used to create the dimension.

I hope you are feeling better soon and on the mend. I am sorry we never had a chance to get together over the summer. Where did it go? Enjoy the autumn and if there is anything you need or anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to let me know! {{{{{Hugs}}}}}
