Doodle Pantry December Release

Oh my goodness! You should see the release this month. The sets are totally amazing!! Just look at some of these demos for example and you will know what I am talking about. Lol. So make sure to see the rest of the stamps at Doodle Pantry Blog

Check This Out @ The Store
And this one! Sew great for all those crafty sewing pals.

And this one, is the one that I used for my tags. Isn't it adorable.

I made these tags for my friend's two little kids for their Christmas gifts.
I think that they will like them. I hope so anyway.

My tags were cut using my Cricuit machine and than embossed with my friend's
Cuttle Bug embossing machine. I used a snowflake embossing folder by Darice. This was my first attempt to ever use pre-colored digital stamp images. Gasp!! Lol. Yes, I know!! I always colour my own but this time around I used the pre-coloured ones. I printed them out twice and the first images were cut out and glued to the tag. The second set was fussy cut and popped up with pop dots on the first set. This gives great dimension and looks great. The tags were distressed with Ranger Distress Inks
and embellishments were added for a final touch.

These tags are being submitted to the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - W  Christmas
Die Cut Divas: Let's Celebrate Challenge
Card Crafter's Circle - W, 3E, C10 – No. 103 - Gift Tags
Sweet Pea Stampers - 2W, SIO, E3 - (W2 of 2) - Lots of Texture
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge W, 3E – No. 152 - Non Traditional Christmas
QKR Stampede – W, 4E, SIO  No. 66 - It's Starting to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
Stempelsonnen Challenge - 2W, 3E, stamp as main focus - No.103 - (W1 of 2) - Merry Christmas
Charisma Cardz - W, 3E, C10 - #46 Christmas....will run for two weeks. (W2 of 2)

I hope that you like these tags and that you were inspired to make
your own this year. Until tomorrow when I will be sharing a page layout for a
Guest Designer Spot with Sketch N' Scrap........

My Movember Card

Just popping in with my one and only card that I made for Movember.
Yes, I know I am getting it in by the skin of my teeth, but here it is none the less.
I made this card for a special guy who has been a great support to me the past few months.
He has provided me with some Godly advice and a listening ear.
So I wanted to thank him for that. I used these sets below to make this card.

 Mustache MishMash  (New Set)

And this Clear Dollar Stamps set called Classic Tools, that
was designed by Laurie as well.

Not sure if she will be releasing this one in her next re-release of
Clear Dollar Stamps or not, but if you ask maybe she will!! Lol. Such a great
masculine set of stamps and so versatile.

And here is my card. I used the digital papers from Mustache MishMash set.

This card is being submitted to the following challenges:
Brown Sugar – W, E2 - No. 70 - Thank You

I don't know about you, but I do have brads that I don't use often, but these can be used in your cardmaking as well. These ones here are from my friend Jerusha who
sent me a RAK package when we were design sisters at LCOM
I thought that they would be perfect for a card like this.

Before I go I want to share with you that Doodle Pantry as a BIG SALE on right now. Yes, 40% off EVERYTHING!! This is a great sale. Check it out! Make cure to use code TDAYSALE. Make sure to read all the instructions on the blog before processing your order at the store okay.

Doodle Pantry Challenge # 40

Hi Everyone:
Just popping in to share my card for Doodle Pantry Challenge # 40 and the theme is "Anything Goes".  So the possibilities are endless with this one. Also we are sponsoring the challenge over at Fab'n Funky .

About Winners
2 Winners from all entries will be drawn and will win a $15 gift coupon to spend at doodlepantry.com  Everyone who enters using a Doodle Pantry image will receive the featured set shown above. Pretty cool hey! Great way to collect some amazing Doodle Pantry images.

I am sharing a creation with you today that I started to make for a second card for our Release Day, but didn't get completely finished.  I changed things up so it could be submitted to the the challenge over at Sketch N' Scrap. Sorry!! I have so much going on these days that I am behind in my cardmaking, so I thought that it would be best to share this card in a separate post today.

Check out challenge # 13 over at Sketch N' Scrap. This is the sketch this time around.

My card today features the set called, Coffee & Biscotti and it is illustrated so well that the Biscotti looks good enough to eat. I just love it!! There are so many options with this one. So here is the set below.

Here is my card using this set and my take on the sketch challenge above.

Card Supplies:
Digi Stamps: Coffee & Biscotti
Adhesives: ATG, Pop Dots
Cardstock: Bazzill, Neehah Desert Storm
Pattern Paper: Schoolhouse/ Workbook By October Afternoon
Embellishments: Buttons/Memory Makers, Brads/Dollarama, Jute/Unknown,ribbon/offray
Rub-Ons: Wild Saffron/ K & Company, Love Ones Designs/Swatch Book Impress-ons
Mediums: Ranger Distress Inks, black marker/Staedtler, Watercolour Pencils/Staedtler

I selected the coffee cup and colored it with my watercolor pencils. I printed out the images on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Once printed, the cup was colored entirely with white coloring pencil. This is to put down a base color to begin with before adding shading. The coffee portion of the cup/mug was then colored with light brown and shaded around the front of the coffee to make it look like the rim of the cup was in front. Love doing this!! Now the cup is shaded in various areas with light gray, and darker in some spots with a little brown and black. The cup has a coordinating embellishment, a rub-on actually, to tie in with the background paper. (Challenge: Why not break out your old assortment of rub-ons and put them to use on your next creation.) I also used Desert Storm cardstock for my base. Sentiment was added to white cardstock, distressed and crinkled before adding to card front. Cards created with this color, look so natural, but can give a great country feel.

Close up of layered cup and detail of coloring.

This card is being submitted to the following challenges:

7 Kids College Fund - 2W, 3E, SIR - #87 Anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting and hope you come back again.

Thanks for supporting OWH and for joining their sketch challenge for an additional chance to win a Doodle Pantry gift certificate prize!

Here is the sketch challenge # 198 for you to play along with.

Now I didn't use the sketch but just did a card to promote our New Stamp sets for the fundraiser.  The image that I used was the very cute Seal along with the sentiment "Sealed With All My Love". I placed part of the sentiment in the heart and the remainder on the inside of the card.

The stamp was enlarged to make a shape card and than coloured with regular colouring pencils. The colour was then blended with Baby Oil and a blending stump. Darker shades were added to give depth and dimension. I was gonna leave it on just white cardstock but the blue made it pop even more so I adhered it to blue cardstock for my card base. Cheeks were dry brushed on with Stampin' Up Ink and doted with white paint.

This is the remainder of the sentiment on the inside of the card. I really don't like how the glue dots show threw the velum but don't really have a better solution. Sorry about that friends.

Well I trust that your all doing fine and having lots of crafty moments. I hope to see your card in the OWH challenge and that you will help us raise some much needed funds for this amazing group which does so much for soldiers who protect our countries daily.

Take Care & God Bless

Doodle Pantry November Release Day

Hi There! So happy that you could join me for Doodle Pantry Release Day for the month of November. There is so much to share with you, but I will first start with the stamp set that I used for this release.
I don't do vintage very well, but when I saw this set I knew I just had to give it a try. So I used the set called Vintage Fan and you can see it here below.

Isn't it gorgeous!! I just love the images and the sentiments are perfect. And just look at the paper sets. My issue is that I don't have a color printer and it is times like these that I wish that I did. Here is my card.

I was going for a terra cotta color but to be honest it looks brown. Lol. Sorry about that but it really is terra cotta or brunt umber. I added the hearts in word document and just re-sized them all. I than used all the colors of the inks in this card to add some confetti as well. I think that the blue shading around the hearts make them pop and adds more interest to the card. Just love this image so much and the blue colored image in the above picture of the set, is kind of retro don't you think!! This stamp set is free with purchase. So if you spend just 3 bucks, you can get this beautiful set for free. Great Deal!

Okay so now here is the best part of this post. Just look at the deals for this month. WOW!! NOV customer special - 25% off the NEW NOVEMBER PRODUCTS ONLY from November  1-10 COUPON CODE:   NEWNOV25OFF

Thanks so much for popping in today. I just wanted to say sorry for being Missing In Action, but things have been a little crazy lately. My hubby is in recovery and was off work for a while. The poor guy is sick with a terrible flu virus right now, which has put him back some in recovering and getting back to work at full capacity. Also, my Dad had a heart attack about 3 weeks ago. He is home now but still not feeling the greatest. He still is dealing with complications from medications and so forth. So it has been a different sort of time. And if you are of the praying sort, please pray for both my Dad and hubby. These guys are pretty special to this gal and I hate seeing them like this. So any prayers on their behalf would be appreciated.

I trust that you and yours are doing well. Remember that no one knows what tomorrow will hold for each of us, so love a little deeper, listen a little more intently, and appreciate each moment.

The first one is the new Jolly Saint Nicholas set and it is totally stunning to say the least. This can be used for so many different styles of cardmaking.
