My First Video Tutorial! Yay!

Hi Everyone:
I guess you thought that maybe I wasn't gonna post like I had promised! Lol! Well to be honest with you all, I have been sick since late Sunday night! We had family here this weekend for Easter. I cooked a turkey with all the fixings and it was so yummy! Well around 1 a.m I awoke to a terrible headache and nausea. I was running to the bathroom in no time flat and just longing for sleep. Today I am feeling much better though. Not sure if it was something I ate or if it is a stomach flu bug. I am thinking that it might be the latter because my hubby is off work today with the same thing, but much worst than I was. He never gets sick but when he does watch out! So I am praying that he will feel better soon, because if not I will be taking him to the hospital. With vomiting since 5:30 this morning and it not letting up much, I am becoming a little worried. So yes, that is why I did not post like promised. Sorry!

So without further ado, here is my first video! Please excuse any technical errors. I didn't speak in this one, but may give it a go in the next one. The directions are all provided, but you may need to pause the screen to read it all. Just hit the play button to pause the video!  I tried to slow the speed down, but due to my beginner editing skills, I could not make it slower. Sorry about that!  Now I know for next time! This is all a learning process for me and over time things will improve.  Lol.  I hope that the music doesn't put you to sleep either! It was the only song that I could find that was the right length and free on You Tube!  I really need to download some instrumental tunes for these videos. Something to add to my "To Do List!"  So if you don't like it, please hit the mute button! Lol!  Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Thanks for dropping bye! I am hopping that I will get to use Random.Org later today to pick the winner of my Blog Candy and to also share the pics of some Easter cards which I didn't get to post due to company and sickness! I trust that you are all doing well in your neck of the woods and if not, than I am praying for you a speedy recovery. Until later!

Big Hugs.

Come Awake!

Hi Everyone:
I trust that this "Good Friday" is one that is holding some meaning and fun times with family and friends. Today was an opportunity for my family and I to take part in a Good Friday service at one of our local churches. It was such a beautiful service with many people. The amazing thing is that regardless of the denomination one belonged to or what church you attended, we were all there as one body of believers, unified and worshipping the One True God. The God who loved us so much that He sent His only Begotten Son do die for us. Seeing and spending time with friends whom we have not seen for a while was certainly a treat. It has been a special day indeed.

I don't normal share much on this blog about my faith or about the need for it in my own life. Though this is a blog that shares mostly crafting projects, there are times that I really like to share my heart, my thoughts and ponderings. It is not my hope to offend anyone, but my heart is heavy for many of those who feel confused, lost, depressed, and burdened with the troubles of today. So many of us face really difficult times and in those times we don't know where to turn or what to do. We search for peace and find none! With times leaving many without jobs, and the cost of living rising, many of us wonder how we can face the next day. Others battle with cancer and other life threatening diseases that leave them walking into unknown territory. Territory that requires a measure of strength that most of us can't provide on our own. Those that do must surely have a faith like no other to get them through. Those are real true Heroes!  Dealing with medical issues these past two years has lift me vulnerable and at times without peace. It is in these times that my faith has pulled me through. Helped me to hold up my head when I was to tired, to depressed, to do it myself. God's word tells us that, "His peace which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus!" Philippians 4:7  It is this peace that I pray for everyday! The peace that tells me that even when things don't work out, that God is working things out for my good! Most importantly, that He hasn't forgotten me and that the times that I felt like He was no where to be found, it was then that He was carrying me! Thank you Lord! I have some friends out there in the blogging world going through some pretty tough times right now! I just want you to know from one blogger to the other, that I love you and I am praying for you. That in the mist of your situation that Christ will provide you with all that you need to get through these dark days.

I want to share this very timely video! One that claims the victory of the Cross and the power behind it! May you be encouraged today to know that there is a God who loves you very much and that no matter what you have done, or where you have been, or the pain that you carry, He Is Here For You! Just ask Him to come, and He will meet you where you are!!! May this be the Easter that will see you awaken with a new resolve, new outlook and renewed peace for this journey called Life!

* Please turn up the volume to hear this great song! Hope it blesses you like it did me!

Thank you for dropping by! I hope that you will come back and visit again soon. Tomorrow is another day filled with some more cards to share. And yes, I haven't forgotten my promised video and the drawing for my Blog Candy! There is still time to play if you like!  May God richly bless you in all that your hand finds to do!

Gift Wrap Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Moxie Fab Challenge

Have you ever gotten a present that was wrapped so beautifully that you didn't want to open it?  Did the wrapping look just as nice as the present inside? Well if you love to receive these sorts of gifts or give them do I have the place for you!  Cath over in the Moxie Fab World gave the challenge to give someone dear a gift that was presented in beautiful packaging or wrapping!  So with Mother's Day coming up and the fact that I really miss my home town and my Mom, I thought that I would make something nice for her. The miles are many between us and I think of her often. So to show how much I care, I made this bag to place her Mother's Day gift in for that special day!

The flower is an handmade embellishment that was made using Hero Arts flower stamp, and coloured with Tombo Markers. Be sure to check back in the next few days to see a video tutorial on how to make your own flower embellishments like the one below.

I don't know about you, but I just loooove this flower. I am so happy with the way it turned out. To think that this was flower images stamped on white watercolour paper and then coloured,  just blows my mind! There is so much that we can all do with various colouring mediums. Tombo Markers was the medium that I decided to used here. I am so WOWED by the vibrancy of these markers. Make sure to check back to see how you can make your own flowers like this!

I hope that I have inspired you to pop over to Moxie Fab World and to play along with this challenge. There is still time to play!

Thanks for dropping bye and I look forward to seeing you again!

Lucy's 6 Day Give-Away!

Hi Everyone:
I guess many of you thought that I had dropped off the face of the earth! Lol! Well, no, but it has been a while since I have checked in with you all. Life is super busy again it seems. I started a new job and have been busy with that, along with some other fun things that I will be sharing a little later. You will notice that my blog is under construction! For the next few days I will still be posting but there maybe some things that will look a little off! Can't wait!  She can do a makeover for you too! Why not check it out!

The ever inspiring Lucy Abrams is having a 6 Day Give-Away on her blog! Just look at these beauties!

She is an amazing card Artist that is a designer for Hero Arts stamp comapany!  You will find her creations in many PaperCrafts Magazines. So to see Days 5 & 6, make sure to head on over to her blog and see what else she is giving away through random drawings.

Also wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about my own Blog Candy! I know that I don't have 100 followers yet, but I am gonna draw for this prize after Easter weekend! So come next week I will announce the winner! Be sure to check it out and you could win the American Craft Album Kit.

This week I have Easter Projects to share. You will also be seeing some Moxie Fab World projects as well. Stay tuned because you will even have a special video treat!  Thanks for sticking around and not leaving. I know a few followers have decided to do just that and that is fine! I understand that folks follow others to sometimes win contest and that is great. But it is my prayer that there might be something inspiring or encouraging that will keep you coming back.

I trust that as Spring tries to shine some much needed sun on us all, (the weatherman is calling for snow here tomorrow! Yuck!) that this week of Easter will be a week of reflecting on the Son. The one who brings the true meaning of Easter!  And that it will be shared with family and friends experiencing many great moments together. Until next time!

Hugs & Blessings
