Doodle Pantry Challenge # 40

Hi Everyone:
Just popping in to share my card for Doodle Pantry Challenge # 40 and the theme is "Anything Goes".  So the possibilities are endless with this one. Also we are sponsoring the challenge over at Fab'n Funky .

About Winners
2 Winners from all entries will be drawn and will win a $15 gift coupon to spend at doodlepantry.com  Everyone who enters using a Doodle Pantry image will receive the featured set shown above. Pretty cool hey! Great way to collect some amazing Doodle Pantry images.

I am sharing a creation with you today that I started to make for a second card for our Release Day, but didn't get completely finished.  I changed things up so it could be submitted to the the challenge over at Sketch N' Scrap. Sorry!! I have so much going on these days that I am behind in my cardmaking, so I thought that it would be best to share this card in a separate post today.

Check out challenge # 13 over at Sketch N' Scrap. This is the sketch this time around.

My card today features the set called, Coffee & Biscotti and it is illustrated so well that the Biscotti looks good enough to eat. I just love it!! There are so many options with this one. So here is the set below.

Here is my card using this set and my take on the sketch challenge above.

Card Supplies:
Digi Stamps: Coffee & Biscotti
Adhesives: ATG, Pop Dots
Cardstock: Bazzill, Neehah Desert Storm
Pattern Paper: Schoolhouse/ Workbook By October Afternoon
Embellishments: Buttons/Memory Makers, Brads/Dollarama, Jute/Unknown,ribbon/offray
Rub-Ons: Wild Saffron/ K & Company, Love Ones Designs/Swatch Book Impress-ons
Mediums: Ranger Distress Inks, black marker/Staedtler, Watercolour Pencils/Staedtler

I selected the coffee cup and colored it with my watercolor pencils. I printed out the images on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Once printed, the cup was colored entirely with white coloring pencil. This is to put down a base color to begin with before adding shading. The coffee portion of the cup/mug was then colored with light brown and shaded around the front of the coffee to make it look like the rim of the cup was in front. Love doing this!! Now the cup is shaded in various areas with light gray, and darker in some spots with a little brown and black. The cup has a coordinating embellishment, a rub-on actually, to tie in with the background paper. (Challenge: Why not break out your old assortment of rub-ons and put them to use on your next creation.) I also used Desert Storm cardstock for my base. Sentiment was added to white cardstock, distressed and crinkled before adding to card front. Cards created with this color, look so natural, but can give a great country feel.

Close up of layered cup and detail of coloring.

This card is being submitted to the following challenges:
