Doodle Pantry January Release Day

Hi Everyone:
Just wanted to pop in quickly with a card for the Doodle Pantry Release for January 2014. Wow where did the time go!! Can't believe that it is a new year already!!!  Where does the time go!!

Well this is the first month of this new year and it couldn't start out better than a great new line-up from Doodle Pantry Stamps. Just look at all the new stamps for this month. They are amazing and there is so much variety.

Now the stamp set that I used was the Kissy Lips set and I must say that I am happy with how my card turned out. I used a new technique which is all the rave this year and that is "Chalk Board" effect. I used this You Tube video below by Victoria Rogers to learn how to complete this card creation using this technique. You can check out more videos and tips from her blog at http://bluejellystampin.blogspot.co.uk/ .

This is the set that I used to make my Valentines Day Card.

Card is being submitted to the following challenges:

Bearly Mine Challenges W2E, SIO - #117 Anything Goes (until Jan 7th)
Creative Card Crew 2W - #52 Anything Goes for 3 weeks (Week 2)
Creative Craft Challenges 2W, 3E - #26 Anything Goes  (Week 1)
Through The Craft Room Door W, 2E, - Always Anything Goes
Digi Makeover Challenge - W, SIO, must use digi - Anything Goes
Twist Of Faith Card Challenges W3E,C10 Must include an inspirational sentiment or scripture - #70 New Beginnings/Anything Goes

I am afraid that this time around I used the colored images. This is my second time for doing that but I just had to this time.  This holiday season was very rushed and with us being without power for 2 days, along with other things like trying to complete Christmas shopping, Christmas cleaning, etc., there were some things that didn't happen or get fixed. One of them was my December month blog post, along with coloring my images for these cards. I love to color but there just didn't seem to be time to get everything completed. Anyway, I hope that you will forgive me this time. Hopefully when I get my new Spectrium Noir blending markers, it will take less time to color, meaning more projects to share with you all. I can't wait to get them in the mail. It will be so helpful to my creativity.

This technique was a lot of fun and  fast to do. There are more stamps to see and you can check out the rest at the Doodle Pantry Store. Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's creations and be sure to leave some much appreciated love along the way.

Understand about rush of the season, but Laurie's coloring is fabulous so it's perfect no matter when and I get spoiled and forget to pull out my copics.. haha I've done one chalkboard effect but yours looks different and maybe easier so I'm off to check out the link you were so sweet to leave us.

What a great chalkboard! And nothing wrong with using the colored version - they are there for a reason and so hard to resist!
