The Play Date Cafe - Challenge 79

Hi Everyone:

I just wanted to share my card for the Play Date Cafe Challenge. I have never ever played any of their challenges but sweet Libby and Julie are a part of my Hero Arts Flicker group. So I couldn't help but check out the challenge and play along.  The do have one amazing Design Team and you might want to check it all out for yourself!

Today this challenge will hosted bye the one and only Kelly Rasmussen! Yahoo! She is one of the gals listed in my sidebar as one of my Inspiration Blogs. Her style and ability to make some outstanding cards is just amazing. So make sure to check out her blog. Kelly is a Hero Arts Designer ( my fav stamps right now... lol!) and this week the Cafe Gals are giving away this!

Wow this is amazing! I would so love to win this. I know the competition is fierce, but who knows! Anything can happen right!  Lol. So without any more delay, here is my card for this challenge.

And now for the close up of blending of Ranger Distress Inks and embossing of Hero Arts Flower stamp.

This was a hard one for me to do really. Not use to using the colours used in this challenge. I hope my Mom likes this card because it is for her for her Birthday!!  I will edit this post tomorrow with supply list of this card. Thanks for dropping bye and I hope that you head over to Play Date Cafe and check things out.

Gift Wrap Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Moxie Fab Challenge

Have you ever gotten a present that was wrapped so beautifully that you didn't want to open it?  Did the wrapping look just as nice as the present inside? Well if you love to receive these sorts of gifts or give them do I have the place for you!  Cath over in the Moxie Fab World gave the challenge to give someone dear a gift that was presented in beautiful packaging or wrapping!  So with Mother's Day coming up and the fact that I really miss my home town and my Mom, I thought that I would make something nice for her. The miles are many between us and I think of her often. So to show how much I care, I made this bag to place her Mother's Day gift in for that special day!

The flower is an handmade embellishment that was made using Hero Arts flower stamp, and coloured with Tombo Markers. Be sure to check back in the next few days to see a video tutorial on how to make your own flower embellishments like the one below.

I don't know about you, but I just loooove this flower. I am so happy with the way it turned out. To think that this was flower images stamped on white watercolour paper and then coloured,  just blows my mind! There is so much that we can all do with various colouring mediums. Tombo Markers was the medium that I decided to used here. I am so WOWED by the vibrancy of these markers. Make sure to check back to see how you can make your own flowers like this!

I hope that I have inspired you to pop over to Moxie Fab World and to play along with this challenge. There is still time to play!

Thanks for dropping bye and I look forward to seeing you again!

Hugs
