So you thought that I forgot to post again didn't you! Lol! Well really I went to upload my pics to blogger to share but decided to check my email first! Bad decision! I checked several email and then opened one to read only half way down, when my computer started acting really freaky! Screen went crazy and I started panicking! I thought that I had opened a file with a virus, but knew that no emails that I had opened had any attachments. So I sat there with watery eyes because I thought that I had lost hundreds of dollars worth of SCAL cutting files that I use for my Cricuit Machine and all of my freebies/purchased Digital Images. I had to call my hubby the next morning to tell him what happened. I was actually in tears because of all the family pictures that I had feared that I had lost. I was so happy when he said that if the computer would not start again that it probably meant that the video card was shot and it looks like the off/on button was broken. Wheeeeeeeww! I actually could breath a sigh of relief! Thank you God!! So due to this and the fact that Blogger was having problems it made sharing very difficult. So we are gonna get a new computer in the next little bit! So for now my hubby is being kind enough to let me use his laptop. (Thanks sweetheart! Love you for this!!)
Okay so I will share the card that I made for the challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog and for the Stampin' Sister's In Christ Challenge. Now at Mo's Challenge Blog we were to make a card that shared summer fun or summer theme and also a chance to win a Guest Design Spot. This would be a dream come true for me. I have loved her images since I first learned about Digital Designs back 3 years ago. I think that her images are some of the best out there and I would love to own them all! Lol! My friend Dorcas works with Mo's team and you should see what she does with these images. She makes them almost talk they are so amazing. So I am praying that I get picked! Now the image I used isn't summer per say, but it is the only image that I had that could apply. Why you might ask? Well, because we can pray in the summer just as well as in the fall, winter and spring. Lol! Well, we can!!! Lol!
The challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ is to use things that are pretty and also reflect the scripture verse for the challenge which is Ecclesiastes 3:11a (NIV) "He has made everything beautiful in its time." I love this verse because it reminds me that when things are out of sorts in my life that God is gonna make things work out in His time. I really was suppose to play along with last week's challenge which was based on my favorite Bible verse which is Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This is the verse that really as seen me through some pretty tough times and is a constant reminder of God's faithfulness. But due to life being crazy like I mentioned above I didn't get to play! Oh well, this challenge is a great one too!
So here is the card that I made for both of these challenge and will be also submitting it for some others.
Now I want to share that I wasn't thrilled with this image and it actually ended up in the garbage can due to the fact that I made a big boo-boo! For anyone who knows Mo's Images you will notice that the bunny is really too close to this sweet little girl. I made a huge smudge of my blending inks on her nightdress, so being frustrated, I tossed it! The next day when I was cleaning my work station I came across the garbage can and decided to take it out and have a better look at it. I thought. "How can I salvage this? I thought back to something that Kathy from the Daily Marker shared about covering up our mistakes when we do colouring. So I decided that I would cut this image out and remove the smudge that way and move the bunny closer. If I didn't share this I don't think that you would have noticed right! My hubby didn't! So to Mo ......I am sorry that I had to cut away your signature underneath this girl's knee, but it wasn't on purpose. I am a strong believer in copyright and giving credit where credit is due. No stealing images here! Lol! I decided that I needed to make a background due to the fact that I couldn't shade around like I would normally, due to my error! So I decided to pop up the image with pop dots and to create a background. I use to do Tole Painting and loved it. Haven't done it in years, but I have not forgotten what I learned and what I taught in my classes. So I decided to create a floor with floor boards. Also, with nail heads showing and also patterned wallpaper. I wanted the wall to be sutble and not over powering. So I just did it green with shading and added tri-dots made with my Tombo white gel pen. Just the right touch I think!
Here is a close up to show the colouring and also the way I did my floor and wall background.

I have to say that this Bible verse really applies to what I have created here for sure. Why? Because I thought it was garbage and totally destroyed! I didn't give up on it and saw the potential it had. It became something beautiful! This is the same way God deals with our disappointments and struggles, the same way He looks at us! Regardless of what we have done or said that feels wrong or bad, He still sees our beauty!! He makes the rough spots in our lives that look and feel ugly into something beautiful. And in His time. Thank you Lord!
I still have other cards to share but will have to do it later. I missed the deadline to share the page I was doing for the Hero Arts contest and their card challenge. I will share later. Thanks again for stopping bye. I trust that you who celebrated Mother's Day had a great one. Mine was great considering. I got a ipod which really took me by surprise. Now I am considered a techy! I think not! Lol. Still love my cd player really, just to darn big to take on walks. Lol. Hope to see you back again soon.
Love & Prayers

Dana I love your card! (And there are no mistakes, just creative opportunities) What a great way to alter this sweet image. It looks so natural. The background looks awesome and the flowers in her hair are the perfect accent.
Thanks for sharing! :)
THis is so adorable, Dana! I'm glad to see you over at Mo's, this is lovely!
I'm happy your computer made it! lol
Hi Dana...aren't you the clever one!! I have to admit, I have learned to be quite creative in covering "errors"...each and every card I make has at least one, it seems! LOL!! Once, when I first started with Copics, I got a spot of ink on a dress I was coloring...so the dress became a polka dot dress! hehehe! I think art is about creativity rather than perfection...and, girlfriend, your creativity rocks!! I have to admit, I don't think the bunny is too close at all...I love how he's positioned next to this little praying darlin'. Reminds me of when I was a little girl...my Raggedy Ann and I were inseparable!! I love your card...it's so sweet! Great colors too!! I'm so glad you fished your image out of the trashcan and created this beautiful little card! Thanks so much for joining us for this week's challenge at Mo's! Pat Frank
Dana, Great job at covering up your boo boo, have to say I think 1/2 of my cards have embellishments or have cut outs or done paper piecing to cover up boo boo's!! Glad you were able to salvage this one from the dumpster!!
Wonderful job!!
Donna Przy....
I love this image! So sweet. I also often use embellishments as a cover up! We are nothing if not thrifty and inventive! Thanks for joining us at Stampin Sisters in Christ.
Dana, your card is out of this world gorgeous!!! The coloring....sigh....so stunning! Thanks so much for joining us over at SSIC! Hugs and blessings, Sabrina
Very nice card! I love the colors and the little flowers in her hair...love the big flower, too! Glad you could join us in Mo's Challenge.
Dana, this is the sweetest image! Love the way you colored it, and the embellishments are beautiful. Good luck in the challenges!
What a sweet card, Dana--and good luck with your computer. I am currently having similar troubles and it is driving me absolutely mad! :)
