New From Clear Dollar Stamps

Today is my first time to share in "Release Day" at Clear Dollar Stamps. There are many new Digital Stamp sets to see for the month of September and you can check them out at the store.

My first card was made using the "Scenic Trees" Digital Set.

This set is great for layering trees over top of each other and you can learn how to do that from this Clear Dollar Stamps tutorial. You will see from my card below that I layered my trees and the tutorial above was a wonderful help in making this happen. Be sure to make your white background of your jpgs. transparent when layering or it will not work properly. Here is my first card and I am really happy how it turned out. It kind of looks like an Halloween card, but it isn't! Lol. More of a masculine "Thinking of You" card. Lol.

Supplies
Digital Image: Scenic Tree's
Cardstock: Recollection
Patterned Paper: Studio Calico, Rustic Olive/Creating Keepsakes,Bohemia(MME)
Ranger Distress Inks: Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Storm Sky, Broken China
Adhesives: E-Z Runner/Scrapbook Adhesives, ATG/Scotch

My second card was made using "Rock On" Digital Stamp set.

I really thought this set was great, not just for cardmaking, but also for scrapbooking those boy/male page layouts. I really loved how this card came together. You will see below that there is a splatter effect.  You can do this too, with a pre-cut splatter stencil and a stenciling brush. A tooth brush loaded with acrylic white paint works really well also. Give it a try!!

My third and final card was made using the "Covered Bridges" Digital Set.

Isn't this set just beautiful! This set comes with pre-coloured images which is amazing for those times when we need a quick card. The best thing is that this set reflects all of the seasons, which I so love! Thanks Laurie!! Now I left out the sun when colouring my picture scene, so I decided to include a sun in the card design. I was going for a Country look and just had to use this ribbon. Lol. To be honest, I wasn't sure if the whimiscal design of the card would be to much for the more refined digital image. But it worked out okay in the end. I think what I love about it, is the blue around the trees and the white background of the sky. It makes it all pop against that big happy sun.

Hi Dana! I love what you did with these digital images! The colours are spectacular and everything is so perfectly "put together". I love those trees and the rustic - ness of your card! The sun in your last one was the perfect finishing touch in my book! And your Rock star card is going to make any young person very happy! I love the colouring on the guitar! Thank you so much for spending time on my slow going blog. This move has just totally "thrown" me for some reason, but I'll get it together eventually - I hope! Hugs, Brenda

gosh what gorgeous eye candy, beautiful cards, and thank you so much for your lovely comment, been browsing your blog and think you should go for it with the HM images, I think you will do wonderful. I tend to colour a darker line around the outside of the meeces and then lighter towards the tummy area but I am sure after a couple of plays your own talent will kick in and they will look stunning
Hugs and hope to see some of your HM creations soon
